SPECIAL OLYMPICS OF VIRGINIA NIGHT
Special Olympics Night is designated to raise funds for Special Olympics through ticket sales and recognize Special Olympic Athletes from Southeastern Virginia. In addition, the Admirals participate annually in the Polar Plunge at the Oceanfront. Please click here to view pictures from 2008 Special Olympics of Virginia Night.
PINK IN THE RINK NIGHT
The Admirals team up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure every year for “Pink in the Rink.” The event raises money and provides education about breast cancer. In addition to coloring the ice pink for the game, the Admirals also hold breast cancer information sessions, Hockey 101 clinics for women, silent auctions to benefit the Komen foundation and include survivor participation in the game night presentation. The event has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Komen foundation.
