TAMPA BAY, FL – The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have assigned defenseman Mike Lundin to the Admirals, it was announced today by Lightning Executive Vice President & General Manager Brian Lawton.
Lundin, a 6-foot-2, 188-pound native of Burnsville, Minnesota, has played in 25 games with the Lightning this season, recording two assists. He has spent his entire professional career with Tampa Bay, playing in 106 career NHL games with eight assists and 41 shots on goal. Last season he ranked second on the Lightning in plus/minus rating with a plus-3 and represented the Eastern Conference in the NHL YoungStars Game.
The 24-year-old played in 160 career games with the Maine Black Bears from 2003-07, recording 13 goals and 69 points.
He was drafted by the Lightning in the fourth round, 102nd overall, at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
The Admirals and Bridgeport Sound Tigers will face off in a rematch of last night’s game tonight at Scope at 7:15 p.m. That game is not the only one at Scope, as it is also Public Safety Pride Night.
