  • Norfolk established a new franchise record with six goals in a single period during the second stanza of their 7-4 win at Binghamton on Saturday. The previous record for goals in a single period by the AHL Admirals was five. • In Saturday's game, Mark Barberio and Alex Hutchings each made their professional debuts while Radko Gudas made his North American professional debut.
  • Mike Angelidis, James Wright, Mathieu Roy, Troy Milam, Marc-Antoine Pouliot and Johan Harju each made their Admirals debut on Saturday. Angelidis and Milam both scored goals in their Norfolk debuts while Wright, Pouliot and Harju each had assists.
  • 2009-10 Admirals forward Dana Tyrell made his NHL debut with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday at Atlanta.
Marc-Antoine Pouliot: 1GP, 0G, 4A, 4PTS
Center Marc-Antoine Pouliot had an explosive Norfolk debut on Saturday in Binghamton, tying an AHL Admirals single-game record with four assists to propel the Admirals past the Senators in Norfolk's 2010-11 regular season opener. Pouliot assisted on the first Norfolk tally of the season when Troy Milam scored off Pouliot's rebound early in the second period. Pouliot then won a puck battle in the corner and sent a feed to Blair Jones for a go-ahead goal less than ten minutes later. Three minutes later, Pouliot set up Milam's second goal of the game on the power play before connecting with Jones once again for the eventual game-winning tally just 24 seconds after that. Pouliot racked up his four assists in only eleven minutes and eighteen seconds of game time. The veteran center leads Norfolk in scoring with his four points. He is tied for the AHL lead in assists and is tied for third in points.

The Admirals will hold their first Military Appreciation Night of the 2010-11 season during the first home game of the season on Friday night. The Admirals will be facing off against the Worcester Sharks (AHL affiliate of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks) at Scope starting at 7:30 p.m.
