Stanley Cup Visits Norfolk as Admirals Conclude Eight-Game Homestand

NORFOLK, VA – Last week, the Norfolk Admirals fell to 3-3-0-1 on their season-long eight game homestand. This week, the Admirals will conclude the homestand against the Charlotte Checkers on Friday night before taking a quick weekend road trip with games against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Albany Devils.

On Tuesday night, the Admirals suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Hershey Bears at Scope. Despite putting up 35 shots on net Friday night, the Admirals couldn't beat Penguins netminder Brad Thiessen, as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton defeated Norfolk 3-0. In the Saturday rematch, Mark Barberio tied the game at 1-1 with 3.3 seconds remaining, but the Admirals failed to convert in the shootout as the Penguins skated away with a 2-1 victory.
