Admirals’ First Two Playoff Games to be Shown at Baxter’s

Friday and Saturday, April 15 and 16 at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins)

The Norfolk Admirals and Baxter’s Sports Lounge are pleased to announce that Games One and Two of the Admirals’ East Division Semifinals matchup against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be shown via AHL Live at Baxter’s Sports Lounge in Downtown Norfolk. Games One and Two are tonight and tomorrow night, April 15 and 16, starting at 7:05 p.m.

Baxter's Sports Lounge is located across the street from Norfolk Scope Arena at 500 Granby Street in Norfolk.

The Admirals finished the regular season with a 39-26-9-6 record, good for 93 points and a fourth place finish in the American Hockey League’s East Division. They will face off against the first-place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the best-of-seven East Division Semifinals of the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs. The Penguins finished the 2010-11 season with the best record in the American Hockey League, going 58-21-0-1 for 117 points. Norfolk won three of eight matchups against the Penguins in the 2010-11 regular season head-to-head matchup. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton won two games in a shootout.

Playoff hockey returns to Norfolk Scope Arena for the first time in four years on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, April 19, 20 and 22, for Games Three, Four and Five (if necessary) in the series against the Penguins.

Individual playoff tickets for home games in the Norfolk Admirals' first round matchup against the Penguins are now on sale at the Norfolk Scope Box Office, all Ticketmaster Outlets, charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 and online at

Individual playoff tickets range in price from $13.00 - $18.00 when purchased in advance of the day of a game. Students through high school, active military with valid identification and senior citizens receive $1 off single game tickets at the Scope Box Office. Group discounts are also available when purchased in advance through the Admirals group sales office.

In addition, the Admirals will continue to offer midweek Value Nights including the popular Family Fun Packs, presented by SunTrust, and Student Rush Night tickets. These special offers will be available for all Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday home games throughout the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs.

Family Fun Packs, presented by SunTrust, include four discounted Red Level Tickets for just $52 plus four free hot dogs, four free popcorns and four free sodas. Fans get all of that for just $52 – that’s a savings of $37! Student Rush Nights provide $9 White Level Tickets (normally $13) for students with a valid current high school or college ID.

During the playoffs, Family Fun Packs are ONLY available at the Scope Box Office. Student Rush Night Tickets are available ONLY at the Scope Box Office after 2:00 p.m. on the day of the game.
