SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Trevor Smith and Dana Tyrell each had a goal and an assist as the Norfolk Admirals (7-2-0-1) defeated the Syracuse Crunch (4-3-1-1), 6-2, on Saturday night at the Onondaga County War Memorial at Oncenter. The puck skipped off a skate in front of the net and snuck behind Deslauriers for Panik’s second goal of the season.

Syracuse chipped into the Admirals with back-to-back tallies. Nathan Smith got the Crunch on the board when he tipped in a shot by Nick Shaus over the glove of Janus to narrow to the Admirals lead to 4-1 at the 6:34 mark of the second period.

Former Admiral Mark Bell brought the Crunch to within two, 4-2, with his third goal of the season. Bell picked up a loose puck in front of the Admirals net and fired home a shot behind a sprawling Janus with 13:02 remaining in regulation.

Norfolk answered back to regain a three-goal lead, just 26 seconds later. J.T. Wyman skated through the slot and in behind a Crunch defenseman and slid a shot underneath Crunch goaltender Tarkki to give the Admirals a 5-2 lead with 13:28 remaining in the third.

Trevor Smith capped off the scoring when he gave the Admirals a 6-2 lead. Smith led an offensive rush into the Crunch zone.
