Admirals Gaining Momentum Entering Second Half

NORFOLK, Va. – After wrapping-up a five-game homestand in front of a season-high crowd on Saturday night, the Admirals will drop the puck on a three-game road trip on Wednesday night in Albany.

Last week, the Admirals went 2-1-0-0 at Scope. Despite goals by Michel Ouellet and Radko Gudas on Tuesday night, the Admirals' comeback fell short as they dropped a 3-2 decision to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. On Friday night, Cory Conacher netted his team-leading 22nd goal of the season as the Admirals defeated the Whale, 3-1, to snap a three-game losing streak. On Saturday in front of 7,227 fans during the fifth-annual Pink in the Rink, Richard Panik recorded his first professional multi-goal game and Matt Fornataro netted the game-winning goal in the third period as the Admirals upended Connecticut, 4-2.

This week, the Admirals travel to Albany Wednesday before visiting Syracuse Friday and Connecticut Saturday.
