NORFOLK – The Norfolk Admirals and Fletcher's Jewelers want you to tell them your Pink-in-the-Rink-Spirational story. Someone's story will win them an angel diamond pendant necklace and tickets to the upcoming Pink in the Rink Admirals game.
The fight against breast cancer is a tough battle – much tougher than any hockey game. One in four cancers diagnosed in the United States is breast cancer, and it has affected many people in all walks of life. With and through these battles come many inspirational stories of survival and strength, along with the will to carry on and pay it forward in life.
With the sixth annual Pink in the Rink to benefit the Tidewater Affiliate of Susan G. Komen For the Cure one week away, the Admirals and Fletcher’s Jewelers are teaming up to find the person or persons that have inspired you in their battle; and to hear your story. This person may have been affected by breast cancer directly, is a survivor, or is a person that has battled this horrible disease in many other positive ways.
Admirals fans are encouraged to nominate their favorite survivor or inspirational person by clicking here. The winning contestant will receive an angel diamond pendant necklace from Fletcher's Jewelers and four tickets to the Pink in the Rink game on Saturday, January 19.
