#24 – March 29, 2013
Well we don't have to rewind too far to find the next memorable Admirals moment. The Admirals trailed the Syracuse Crunch by a 3-1 count heading into the third period. In the final stanza, it took only ten seconds for the Crunch to extend their lead further to a 4-1 advantage on a goal by Dan Sexton.

It would appear that Syracuse would be on its way to another victory, but the Admirals had other ideas, as just 40 seconds later, Devante Smith-Pelly netted his 11th tally of the season to cut the deficit in half.

Two minutes later, Chris Wagner got in on the scoring action and pulled the Admirals within one.

Pat Maroon, who had scored a goal in the final seconds of the first period, registered his second goal of the game on the power play. Maroon tipped a Nate Guenin shot and redirected the puck past Riku Helenius to tie the game at four, sending the contest to overtime.

Former Admiral Mike Angelidis took a penalty for slashing with one second remaining in regulation, which led to a Norfolk power play in overtime. The Admirals made the best of their opportunity in the extra session as they turned to Maroon for a third and decisive time.

Charles Sarault collected the puck and held it as a defender slid past him anticipating a shot. He then centered a pass to Maroon at the goalmouth, and Maroon slid the puck under Helenius for the game-winning goal at 1:41 into overtime to seal the 5-4 come from behind victory.

The announced crowd of 6,049 at the Norfolk Scope came to its feet to recognize three-goal third period rally, and the Patrick Maroon hat trick which sealed it.
