Ducks Ink Defenseman Josh Manson to Two-Year Entry Level Contract
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Anaheim Ducks announced Tuesday that the team has inked defenseman Josh Manson to a two-year entry level contract and have assigned him to Norfolk.
Manson, 22, played three seasons at Northeastern University from 2011-2014. He recorded six goals and 15 assists for 21 points and also logged 158 penalty minutes in 99 career games with Northeastern.
Anaheim drafted the Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native in 2011 in the sixth round of the NHL Entry Draft. Additionally, Manson scored 22 goals and 49 assists along with 155 penalty minutes in 111 games with Salmon Arm of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) before heading to Northeastern.
The 6-3, 223-pound defenseman was named to the 2013-14 Hockey East Second Team and also the Best Defensive Defenseman. Northeastern went 19-14-4 this season with Manson as their captain.
