NORFOLK, VA. – The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators, announced that forwards Angelo Miceli and Trevor Mingoia have been assigned to Norfolk by the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL.
Miceli, 23, enters his third professional season after spending the 2016-17 season with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. The forward led Greenville in scoring and ranked tenth in the ECHL with 77 points (22g, 55a). In 94 career ECHL games the Montreal, Quebec native has averaged over a point per game recording 97 points. Last season Miceliwas named the Sher-Wood Hockey/ECHL Player of the Week for the week of March 6-12.
Mingoia, 25, joins the Admirals after netting 40 points (21g, 19a) in 60 games during his rookie campaign with the Atlanta Gladiators. A second-year pro, the Fairport, NY native won the 2015 NCAA National Championship as a member of the Providence College Friars. Mingoia played three seasons for the Friars prior to turning pro.
Both Miceli and Mingoia will be in Norfolk when the Admirals open training camp. Dates and times for training camp will be released early next week.
