Norfolk, Va. - Head Coach Eric Veilleux and the Norfolk Admirals announce today that forward, Matt Cope, has been signed to a Standard Player’s Contract (SPC). Cope, 22, recently concluded his senior season with the Robert Morris University Colonials of the NCAA. In 147 games, the Lakewood, CO native registered 78 career points (28-50=78). In 39 games during his senior season, the 6-foot-2, 215-pound winger accumulated 32 total points (11-21=32), five power-play goals, and a plus-16 rating. Ranked 6th all-time in plus/minus at Robert Morris University (+37), Cope won an NCAA (AHA) conference championship in 2015. The Admirals host the Orlando Solar Bears Friday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 26 at 7:15 p.m. on home ice in Scope Arena.
