Noreau Returning To Norfolk In Trade With Missouri

NORFOLK, VA - The Norfolk Admirals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, have acquired defensemen Sam Noreau from the Missouri Mavericks, head coach Rod Aldoff announced on Tuesday.

Noreau, 23, played 57 games for the Admirals in 2015-16, accumulating 16 points and 140 penalty minutes. Over the summer he elected to sign with Missouri, however he'll now be returning to the Admirals.

Standing at 6'5" - 227 lbs, the fifth round pick of the New York Rangers in 2011 was swapped for future considerations. He will wear #2 yet again for the Admirals.

The Admirals are home this weekend as they take on the Toledo Walleye both Friday and Saturday night. Friday night is Brophy Night, a night dedicated to celebrating the life and accomplishments of the most legendary coach in organization history. One lucky fan will win two season tickets for the remainder of the season. Saturday night the team will be holding a post-game skate, which allows you to meet the players down on the ice following the final buzzer. Tickets for both games are on sale now and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com as well as at the Norfolk Scope box office.

For more information on the team, be sure to follow along on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram.
