NORFOLK, VA. - The Bakersfield Condors announced on Tuesday that the team has assigned defenseman Mikael Tam to the Norfolk Admirals.
Tam, 25, has 54 games of ECHL experience, as well as 53 games in the American Hockey League. The Quebec, Quebec native began his professional career in 2012 with the Worcester Sharks (AHL) and has since played for five different teams, including spending all of least season playing in Norway's top league.
Standing at 5'11" - 205 lbs., Tam's most recent ECHL tenure came with the Fort Wayne Komets in 2014-15. During his junior hockey days, Tam was a two-year captain with the Quebec Remparts. He compiled 318 games there, totaling 140 points and 454 penalty minutes.
Tam will wear #22 and is expected to be able to play during the team's three game set against South Carolina that begins tomorrow.
