NORFOLK, VA. – The Admirals completed a string of roster moves on Wednesday, prior to puck drop against the Fort Wayne Komets.
On Monday the team placed defenseman Marc Hetnik on team suspension, due to his intention to return to college to complete his degree.
Tuesday the Admirals inked goaltender Brett Kilar to a standard player contract, upon completion of his amateur tryout. This move comes following the release of Brandon Anderson on Sunday afternoon.
Today, the Admirals used their available ATO to welcome Jordan Abt, a 6’0” – 174 lbs. skater from Leduc, Alberta, Canada. The 25-year-old possesses the ability to play both forward and defense and just completed his four-year career at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
Abt will wear #6 and is expected to make his professional debut this evening.
As a corresponding move the team released forward Tanner Hildebrandt.
Following the Admirals “Circus Road Trip” the team returns home on Wednesday, March 29 to take on the Atlanta Gladiators at Norfolk Scope. Tickets are on sale now on Ticketmaster.com and at the Scope box office.
