NORFOLK, VA. - The Norfolk Admirals have signed forward Michael Pontarelli to an amateur tryout (ATO), the team announced on Saturday afternoon.
Pontarelli, 23, just completed his collegiate career at Union College, where he and the Dutchmen won an NCAA Championship to conclude the 2013-14 season.
The 5'8" - 175 lbs. forward is expected to make his pro debut this evening when the Admirals take on the Adirondack Thunder at the Glens Falls Civic Center at 7:00.
Hailing from Laval, Quebec, Pontarelli will wear #27.
