Dupont Returns to Admirals

Norfolk, VA.– The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators, announced the signing of Captain Brodie Dupont on Wednesday afternoon.

Dupont returns to the Admirals after taking the ice in 40 games last season and finishing third on the team in scoring with 41 points (16g, 25a). The forward was also named ECHL Player of the Week for the week of January 2-8, 2017 after notching eight points (3g, 5a) in three games.

“It’s an environment I’m comfortable in. I have confidence that I’m coming back to a good place where I can continue to grow and get better every day,” said Dupont.

A nine-year pro, Dupont spent 21 games with Bakersfield (AHL) last season. Over his career the Russell, Manitoba native has appeared in over 600 professional games recording 345 points (129g, 216a).

“I think I speak for all the returning players when I say that we’re all looking forward to the opportunity to play under Coach Ftorek again,” continue Dupont. “His knowledge of the game and attention to detail really helps players continue to develop.”

Dupont and the Admirals will kick off the home portion of the 2017-18 season with back-to-back games against South Carolina on October 27 and 28.
