Norfolk, VA.-The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators, have signed forward Dmytro Babenko the team announced on Thursday morning.
Babenko, 22, spent the 2016-17 season with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs notching 23 points (11g, 12a) in 52 games. The Kharkov, Ukraine native skated with the Admirals in training camp before being returned to Roanoke. Â Prior to turning pro, Babenko spent two seasons with the Casper Coyotes (WSHL) totaling 80 points in 91 games.
Babenko and the Admirals open the home portion of the season this weekend with a back-to-back games against South Carolina. Puck drops both nights at 7:00pm.
