NORFOLK, VA. – The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators, announced goaltender Jake Paterson and defenseman Rick Pinkston have been assigned to Norfolk by the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL.
Paterson, 23, ranked among ECHL league leaders in goals against average, save percentage, and wins while playing
49 games for the Toledo Walleye. A third-round draft pick of the Detroit Red Wings in 2012, Paterson has appeared in 81 career ECHL games posting a save percentage of .920, and a 2.24 GAA. The Mississauga, Ontario native finished second in ECHL Goaltender of the year voting last season.
A former Kelly Cup Champion, Pinkston, split the 2016-17 season between the ECHL and AHL appearing in 47 total
games. The 6’1”, 205lb blue liner has recorded 27 points (4g, 13a) to go along with a plus-nine rating over his
professional career. Prior to turning pro Pinkston spent four seasons at Dartmouth College.
Training camp opens Friday, October 6 and will run through October 11. The Admirals will return home to open the season with back-to-back home games against South Carolina on October 27 and 28.
