Thompson Joins Admirals, Delisle Dealt to Jacksonville

NORFOLK, VA. – The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators, made a pair of roster moves on Thursday signing forward Tayler Thompson and trading defenseman Steven Delisle to the Jacksonville Icemen in exchange for other consideration.

Thompson, 24, joins the Admirals after starting the season with Brest Albatros in France. The SPHL’s leading scorer last season, Thompson recorded 60 points (18g, 42a) in 56 games for the Fayetteville FireAntz. The forward has appeared in 115 professional games scoring 83 points (23g, 60a). Prior to turning pro Thompson spent three seasons with the Yorkton Terriers (SJHL) notching 115 points (43g, 72a) in 130 games.

Delisle appeared in in 9 games with the Admirals notching one assist to go along with 15 penalty minutes.

Thompson will be available tomorrow night when the Admirals take on the Brampton Beast tomorrow night.
