Norfolk, VA. – The Norfolk Admirals announced on Thursday evening that forward Brodie Dupont has signed a professional try-out (PTO) with the AHL's Stockton Heat.
Dupont, 31, leads the Admirals offense averaging a point per game this season. The captain has set career highs in goals, assists, and points with 68 points (21g, 47a). A third-round draft pick of the New York Rangers in 2005, Dupont returns to the AHL where he has skated in 385 games during his career with Milwaukee, Hartford and Bakersfield. During that time he tallied 176 points (68g, 108a). This will be the second consecutive season the captain has concluded the year in the AHL after starting with the Admirals. Last season Dupont played 21 games with the Bakersfield Condors to end the year. The forward is in his 11th professional season.
In a corresponding move the Admirals have signed forward Jordan Haskell. Haskell was with the Admirals briefly after the conclusion of his college careers at Hobart College earlier in the season.
Norfolk host the Kalamazoo Wings for a pair of games on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31.
