Norfolk, VA. – The Norfolk Admirals added a pair of players on Wednesday morning, signing forward Taylor McCloy and goaltender Dillon Kelley. Both players join the Admirals after finishing their college careers at Adrian College (NCAA DIII).
McCloy, 24, led the Bulldogs during his senior season in both points (38) and goals (24). The forward’s 24 goals were also third best in the nation at the NCAA DIII level. The Keswick, ON native, who was an alternate captain during his final two seasons, recorded 110 points (51g, 59a) in 99 games at Adrian. Prior to attending Adrian, McCloy spent three seasons with the Aurora Tigers (OJHL) where he netted 142 points (68g, 74a) in 159 games. The forward has joined the Admirals on an Amateur Tryout (ATO).
Kelley, 23, appeared in 11 games for Adrian this year going 7-1-0, while surrendering only 1.20 goals per game and posting a save percentage of .949. A native of Petoskey, MI, the netminder appeared in 24 games with the Bulldogs, only losing twice (16-2-0, 1.71 GAA, .924 SV%). The 6’5”, 214 lb. goaltender played four seasons in the NAHL with the Corpus Christi IceRays, Austin Bruins, and Michigan Warriors before heading to Adrian.
Both players will be available for the Admirals final two games of against Reading on April 6 and 7.
