ADMIRALS AWARDED 2018-19 ECHL TICKET DEPARTMENT OF THE YEAR

Norfolk, VA- Last night, the Norfolk Admirals were presented with the prestigious ECHL Ticket Department of the Year Award. The award was achieved by increasing both ticket sales and attendance over the course of the 2018-2019 season. The Admirals lead the league in several metrics with an average of 30% growth in ticketing and attendance categories.

“We are honored to have achieved one of the highest recognitions within the ECHL front offices”, said Admirals President Trent Ferguson, “The 26 teams in this league are all filled with incredible executives, and being considered at the top while being one of the smallest, and most efficient staffs, is a testament to the hard work and passion that each one of them carries for the success of the Norfolk Admirals” Said Ferguson.

The award was presented at the 2019 ECHL Hockey Summer Meetings, presented by FEVO, at the New York-New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event hosted the League’s Board of Governor’s Meeting, Presidents and General Manager’s Meeting, 8th Annual ECHL/TeamWork Online Career Fair, the ECHL Vendors’ Showcase, and two days of Sales, Marketing, and Communications Meetings.

In addition to this prestigious award, Admirals’ Strategic Partnerships Manager, Shelby Cohen, was also recognized for completing the ECHL Ticket Sales Management University and the ISBI 360 course.
