Admirals Bring Aboard Forward Quince

NORFOLK, VA. --  The Norfolk Admirals, proud ECHL affiliates of the Carolina Hurricanes, announced on Wednesday they have signed forward Marly Quince.

Quince, 27, joins the Admirals after starting the season with the Fayetteville Marksmen of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). In 11 games with the Marksmen, Quince had nine points (1g, 8a).

The Sioux Lookout, Ontario native played the 2019-20 season with Knoxville in the SPHL, where he registered 11 points in nine goals. He also played in 21 games with the Reading Royals and five with the South Carolina Stingrays.

Before turning pro in 2019-20, Quince played four seasons with Clarkson University. During that time, he totaled 101 games and scored 29 points on 11 goals and 18 assists. During the senior season, he served as an alternate captain with the Golden Knights and helped lead the team to an ECAC Championship.

In a corresponding move, the Admirals announced they have released goaltender Jake Theut.
