NORFOLK, VA. - Admirals netminder Philippe Desrosiers has won his first round matchup of the ECHL'S March Maskness, advancing him to the second round of the league's contest.
March Maskness, a bracket style contest run by the ECHL, elected the 16 best goaltender masks in the league and let fans select the winners via head-to-head polls on Twitter.
In the first round the Admirals and Desrosiers picked up a decisive 57% to 43% victory over Adam Vay from the Quad City Mallards.
Starting Monday, polls will open as Desrosiers takes on Pat Nagle of the Fort Wayne Komets.
