NORFOLK, VA. – The Norfolk Admirals are preparing to host promotion-filled games on “St. Hat Trick’s Day Weekend” on Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18 against the Reading Royals.
Both nights at Scope will feature the teams playing on green ice, one of the only venues in the ECHL to participate in the tradition. Additionally, both nights the team will be wearing specialty green jerseys (see below) that will be auctioned off on Saturday night for charity.
On Friday, March 17 fans are invited to join drink specials presented by Smartmouth Brewery.
Saturday, March 18 has been dubbed “Sell Out The Scope Night” as the team eyes for it’s first shutout since rejoining the ECHL before the 2015-16 season. In effort to reach that, it’ll be our second Pucks and Paws Night of the season, where fans are encouraged to bring their dog to the game for just a $5 donation that will be donated to a local animal shelter of their choice.
Additionally, the first 2,000 folks in the building will receive a free Admirals hat courtesy of BB&T.
Following the game the team will hold it’s annual jersey auction to benefit Muscular Dystrophy Association. The jerseys the team will wear on Friday and Saturday night will be up for auction and go to a good cause.
