Norfolk, VA.- The Norfolk Admirals wrap up the 2017-18 season playing a home-and-home weekend with the Reading Royals on Friday and Saturday nights.

Week Ahead:
Norfolk concludes the season with a home-and-home series against the Reading Royals on Friday and Saturday. This is the second straight season that the Admirals and Royals have concluded the regular season against each other. Last season the Admirals swept the final two games of the season by scores of 4-3 and 4-2. Friday will be the Royals second visit to the Scope. The Royals previously swept a weekend series with the Admirals on February 2 and 3.
Fan Appreciation Night:
Friday night at the Scope the Admirals will host fan appreciation night as they play the final home game of the 2017-18 season. The first 3,000 fans through the door will receive a team photo. There will be other opportunities for fans to win an assortment of prizes throughout the night as the Admirals take on the Royals.
Streaking to the End:
Heading into the final weekend of the season forward Patrick D’Amico has netted a point in each of his last five games (1g, 4a). The five-game point-streak is the longest of D’Amico’s professional career. In his third professional season, D’Amico has tallied 36 points (12g, 24a) in 63 games this season. The forward has skated in 53 games with the Admirals after being acquired from Atlanta in November.
Representing His Country:
Defenseman Balazs Goz was placed on reserve by the Admirals on Monday afternoon in order to attend training camp with the Hungarian national team in preparation for the 2018 World Championships Div. 1a. The tournament begins on April 22 and is being held in Budapest, the Hungarian capitol. Goz has represented his native Hungary every year since 2009-10 when he played on the Hungarian U18 team. This years’ world championships would be Goz’s third year participating in the tournament. Goz’s Hungarian team will compete against Slovenia, Poland, Khazakhstan, Italy, and Great Britain. The winning side will move up and participate in the top level of the World Championships next year.
Back to School, Back to School:
Forwards TJ Moore, Jordan Haskell, and Ben Greiner all left the Admirals on Monday morning, returning to their respective colleges to finish school. Moore, who appeared in a total of eight games with the Admirals netted five points, including a point in each of his last four games. The forward returns to Holy Cross to complete graduation. Haskell, who appeared in two games for the Admirals, and Greiner, who appeared in one game have both returned to Hobart College.
