Norfolk, Va. - Head Coach Eric Veilleux and the Norfolk Admirals announce today that forward Dylan Gilbert has been signed to a standard player’s contract (SPC). Gilbert, 26, recently concluded his first collegiate season with the University of Guelph of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport league. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound forward played in 37 total games this season, tallying 14 goals, 12 assists and 26 points. The Oakville, ON native was the top goal scorer for the Guelph Gryphons this season and was tied for fourth in total points on the team. He has played in 12 prior professional games between the Evansville Icemen of the ECHL and the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the SPHL, earning one assist and 25 penalty minutes. The Admirals head out on their final regular-season road trip where they play three games in three nights, starting in Glens Falls, NY against the Adirondack Thunder on Friday night and concluding with a Saturday/Sunday set in Reading, PA against the Royals.
