Laurikainen Gets The Call To Bakersfield

NORFOLK, VA. - The Edmonton Oilers, NHL affiliate of the Norfolk Admirals, have recalled goaltender Eetu Laurikainen to the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League on Monday. The news comes after Edmonton Oilers goaltender Jonas Gustavsson was injured on Sunday night, thus resulting in the big club recalling Laurent Brossoit from Bakersfield. Laurikainen started both games over the weekend for the Admirals and will meet the Condors in Manitoba, where they will open their season tomorrow night against the Manitoba Moose. The Admirals are expected to announce the signing of a new goaltender tomorrow, while Connor Knapp prepares to tend the net on Wednesday night when the Admirals take on the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. Puck drop is set for 7:15 at Norfolk Scope Arena. Tickets are on sale now at the Norfolk Scope box office and online at Ticketmaster.com.
