NORFOLK, VA. - The Bakersfield Condors, American Hockey League affiliate of the Norfolk Admirals, announced the recall of defenseman Frankie Simonelli and assignment of forward Jaedon Descheneau on Tuesday.
Simonelli (#77) recorded two assists in seven games prior to the call up and ranked third among defensemen in the ECHL in shots on goal with 28.
Descheneau will join the team after recording one assist through four games with the AHL club. This is the 21-year-old's first pro hockey season, after spending he previous five years with the Kootenay Ice of the Western Hockey League. The forward possess the ability to play both center and wing, stands at 5'9" and weighs 185 lbs. He will accompany the team on their trip to Florida this weekend. A jersey number will be announced shortly.
The Leduc, Alberta native was selected in the fifth round of the 2014 National Hockey League draft by the St. Louis Blues, 124 overall.
