Esshaki Inks Deal With Admirals

NORFOLK, VA. - The Norfolk Admirals have plucked their third college free agent, signing defenseman Mark Esshaki to a standard player contract, the team announced on Saturday.

Esshaki, 24, comes to Norfolk after just having completed his collegiate career at the Lake Forest College, a Division III NCAA school.

The 6'0" - 174 lbs. defenseman played at the same school as new Admirals forward Jack Lewis, who signed an amateur tryout with the team on Thursday of this week.  Over the course of four years, Esshaki recorded 29 points in 61 games.

A native of West Bloomfield, Michigan, Esshaki will wear #5 for Norfolk and is expected to make his professional debut tonight against the Elmira Jackals at Norfolk Scope Arena at 7:15 PM.
