NORFOLK, VA. – The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators, announced the signing of forward Erik Bradford on Monday afternoon.
Bradford, 22, appeared in 62 games for the Utah Grizzlies and Toledo Walleye last season, leading the Grizzlies in scoring.
“I’ve heard nothing but positive things about the organization, Coach Ftorek, and the city,” said Bradford. “Norfolk’s always been a spot I enjoyed playing as a visitor. I’m looking forward to being on the other side of things, helping the team win games.”
The Orangeville, Ontario native tallied 63 points (16g, 47a) in his second full professional season. Bradford was originally acquired by the Admirals as a part of the trade that sent Gabriel Verpaelst to Utah.
“Coach Ftorek has a great hockey pedigree, and he’s been at the highest level. Any time you get a chance to learn from someone like that you have to take it,” Bradford continued.
A 6’0, 185-lb forward, Bradford spent five seasons in the OHL prior to joining the professional ranks at the tail end of the 2014-15 season.
Bradford and the Admirals will kick off their 2017-18 campaign with back-to-back home games against South Carolina on October 27 and 28.
Partial season ticket plans are also on sale now and start as low as $96. Memberships can be purchased by contacting the Admirals at 757-640-1212 or on norfolkadmirals.com.
