Admirals Acquire Segalla

NORFOLK, VA. – The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators, acquired defenseman Ryan Segalla from the Adirondack Thunder in exchange for forward Ben Murphy on Friday.

Segalla, 22, has skated in four games with the Thunder this season notching four assists. Last season the defenseman skated in 62 games with the Wheeling Nailers recording 11 points (3g, 8a) in addition to 65 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, the Boston native spent three seasons at the University of Connecticut appearing in 86 games.

Murphy, 26, has appeared in nine games for the Admirals this season recording two points (1g, 1a) and 17 penalty minutes.

Norfolk returns home Thursday, Nov. 16 hosting the Adirondack Thunder for the first of three straight home games.
