Team Adds Grit, Speed from West
August 6, 2018Norfolk, VA – The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, agreed to terms with a pair of Western Conference Goats on Monday morning. The goats, fresh off their rampage through the streets and neighborhoods of Boise, ID, join the Admirals after a weekend of negotiations. “We knew we had to get at least a pair of these guys under contract after what happened on Friday,” stated President Trent Ferguson. “They bring a hunger for getting into the dirty areas and a toughness that we felt fit right into our lineup.” After eluding capture on Friday and slipping past the “We Rent Goat” defenses for a few hours the goats became priority number one on the Admirals radar to get signed. “In addition to their toughness, they proved to have the speed and elusiveness that can make them a top threat in this league. We’re looking forward to what they’ll bring to the ice in October,” said Ferguson. Norfolk will open the 2018-19 season on October 13 at home against the Wheeling Nailers.
